Gamervision's Jonathan Cooper writes: "Last night, I looked over at my closed Nintendo DS and saw that the lights were off. It was strange, I thought, because they had been on for about a week, and I didn't remember turning off the game. Confused, I picked up the DS, turned it on, and watched as the screen flickered, the red light flashed, and the device turned off. After letting it charge for a few minutes and turning on Dragon Quest IX, which I had put nearly 30 hours in to, I saw something that literally made me feel light headed: the time counter was back at 23 hours. I had lost nearly eight hours of play because I had, for no reason, just let my DS sit there instead of making sure I had saved. I started thinking back, and realized that this wasn't the first time something like that had happened to be, but it was the first time I felt guilty about it."

People say this gen sucks etc etc but I have played as many games as I ever had and probably more. If days were longer I would play even more games. I still haven’t played some good games from last year.
Can’t wait for this one just I hope I can squeeze it in.
I remember I had one of those Action Replay Memory cards or whatever it was called. Had the bigger 64MB of storage but everytime you wanted to use it, you'd need to start the AR disc up first. One night I remember my brother broke the disc and my whole night was blown - all my saves gone.
Lost my 60 percent progress on Daxter (PSP).
Wind Waker and Sunshine progress was lost. :S I was pretty dam far.
I had a multi-page memory card on the PS one when I was playing Final Fantasy 7... I played all the way to the final Sephiroth battle, then it disappeared. I was amazed, but it was my only memory card, so I tried again. Up to the third disc. Save disappeared. I tried one last time. Up to the second disc. Save disappeared.
I wasn't a very smart child.
On Muramasa: Demon Blade, I had collected all of the swords, finished all the bosses except the last boss. Then few months pass and I stupidly formatted the SD card to save pictures for my DSLR. Many hours down the drain..
