Kane and Lynch 2: Dog Days hands on

Gamersmint : Kane and Lynch 2 is the successor to the 2007 game Kane and Lynch : Dead Men. The first game was received warmly by critics but proved to be an average game at most. Fast forward 2 years and we have the sequel almost ready for launch, but is it an massive improvement over the first game? Gamersmint received a preview code of the game which was a decent representation of what the final game had in store for gamers.

Ya, the PC version does offer more options than the consoles but I think the console version are in no way inferior. The game releases on 17th in NA and 20th of August in EU and other Pal territories.

Played both ps3 and 360 demos and it os 60fps on 360 and like 30 fps on ps3 which is weird. Overall the game is a big step up from the last one but still not very good. I think I'll pass on this game.

Sounds pretty normal to me considering it's a multiplat.

Both 360 and PS3 versions are 60 fps. And Soda do you own stock in MS or something because you seem to praise them for everything they do. No wonder you dont have any bubbles.

Yes but if Soda wasnt the biggest 360 fanboy ever then i wouldnt have to. He doesnt even own a ps3 but yet he trolls on there articles. just look at his comment history. And theres a difference between accusing someone and stating a fact

I played both versions, and its not 60 on either. maybe about 40. but most of the effect is the shaky cam which gives a smoother, more indi movie feel. I see no difference between the two consoles. Regardless, the enemy AI and camera work is very nauseating.

It is much smoother on 360. They are not both 60fps. Wait till the lens of truth. It is much less smooth on ps3 no lie.

While exclusives on the PS3 perform better than 360 exclusives, as well as multiplatform games.

Its like you always try to raise an eyebrow at performance of some garbage multiplat with underwhelming visuals & performance compared to say... Uncharted2... as if its significant in any way, as if some how it means the 360s' hardware is better, yet you run away and hide behind "story' when alan wake can't even crack a modern day resolution, with high res models.

Actually Half of the 360 section on the site does that. All a different multiplat means is:

1. Developers couldn't spend the time on the PS3 version. Facts are that the PS3 is harder to develop for. Compared to the antiquated technology of the 360. It's not shocking you can get a engine designed to NOT run on SPU's is working just as well as the 360 version with a handful of hiccups. Yet, you guys are excited every time it happens.

Then when they lead on the PS3 and the versions generally are equal... theres no "buh buhs", you guys just move on to the next multiplatform game to pretend shows the 360's hardware hasn't bottomed out. Notice that there is never a Retail release to show the 360's hardware, its always in the future!

Keep it up though, I'm sure you have to support games like K&L(LOL the last one was so amazing?) because theres nothing else to do when you have a 360, as far as waving a hardware ability flag. Thats been going on for 2 years.

It is better but I still don't know that it's all that great. I'll try out the MP sometime this week but I still think I'll pass. I've got a lot of other things to play.

I love the shaky camera in this game. At first I didn't care much for it. It kinda makes you feel as if you're the camera man filming these guys do their thing...it's pretty cool I have to say.

As a lover of the heavily flawed first game I'm loving the demo to the sequel. I really love the shaky cam except for one thing. I really think it'd be better if it were written into the story that Kane and Lynch had to have a guy with a camera following them, making sure they did what they were supposed to do the way Lynch was hired to watch Kane in the first game.

Not only would it explain the fact that we're watching these guys run around on a frequently buffering, censored at points video, I think it'd also just be a cool addition to the story.

Played the demo, I thought it was pretty generic. The artistic design was bland and boring, and the shooting mechanics didn't feel right to me.

I think I might pass on this one.
