Akagi5437d ago

They won't get my monies, anyway.

sikbeta5437d ago (Edited 5437d ago )

@GrieverSoul

You forgot the Survivor (FPS) series...

NarooN5437d ago

Hyper Super Resident Evil 5 Gold Turbo Anniversary Remix Ultra Edition 269/2^3 Days ~re-CODED.

...and you KNOW that's not too far-fetched.

Dragun6195437d ago

I'm guessing it will be that RE for the PSP, an RE for the 3DS, an RE for the iPhone, and hopefully one for the consoles.

HammockGames5437d ago

Way to water down an already watered down franchise, guys.

It would NEVER look like you're trying to milk it. /S

I think this is Capcom's announcement that they've officially lost track of what made RE great in the first place. Sad.

they will flood the game and make it old fast if they dont add alot of new stuff to every game

SephireX5437d ago

Is it just me or do I hear a milking machine somewhere? How about Outbreak: File 3 and a proper Resident Evil 2 remake? If not, just go do Resi 6 more like the older games and quit the milking.

TrevorPhillips5437d ago

You forgot to mention Resident Evil 3 remake aswell :)

HammockGames5437d ago (Edited 5437d ago )

And IMHO it's getting a little sour...

This is not the way to return the franchise to greatness.

Galaxia5437d ago

YES! Do want, I loved Outbreak.

And yeah definitely an RE2 and RE3 remake as well. In the same style as the RE1 remake.

hot4play5437d ago

Yep, Raccoon City was awesome!

Remember that epilogue in Outbreak where the ruins of Raccoon City was turned into an secret Umbrella test site? I wonder if they'll ever follow that up...

F4sterTh4nFTL5437d ago

I would not mind that, and please do not make Leon Kennedy take Steroids.

fastrez5437d ago

I'd definitely buy that, Resi 4 was my favourite PS2 game hands-down. Never had a Gamecube so I was happy when they released it on PS2 :)

KingKiff5437d ago (Edited 5437d ago )

They should just make a new damn IP or stick with the first 3 games tradition.

I like undead zombies for enemies that's what makes it resident evil.

Not this possessed villager parasitic warm BS.

Wheres the horror? or at least survival...

ZombieAutopsy5437d ago

Agreed, the only think i liked about RE5 was how well the co-op felt when actually playing the game with someone else. Well I shouldn't say it was the only thing i liked but the "zombies" put me off a lot and it felt way more like an action game than a Survival Horror one.

If only I can agree your comment more than a million times..

Capcom reveals its PC game [digital] sales overshadow console, and it's only growing

The earnings reports of Capcom's Fiscal year 2024 showcase the growth of PC over console, with 60% of game sales being made on the former.

Vits19d ago

What’s interesting is that, given how well their games sell, it’s very likely most of them fall into the 25/75 revenue split bracket. The larger ones, like Monster Hunter, are in the 20/80 bracket.

So even accounting for the vastly superior regional pricing on PC, I wouldn’t be surprised if revenue-wise from digital sales, both platforms are close, or if PC is ahead as well.

neutralgamer199218d ago (Edited 18d ago )

Yes PC is the biggest platform and it has definitely improved as a home console of sort plug and play. It's the only platform with actual freedom for gamers with modding. I was a console gamer for over 38 years and now I only play on Pc. Whether you are buying pre-built or building it yourself it's now easier than ever before to jump in

And my experience with pc gamers has been excellent, they are helpful with any questions on pc boards

FPS_D3TH18d ago

As a gamer who also loves replaying his old favorite titles, possibly with a few mods as well, I can’t imagine ever getting another console.

Profchaos18d ago (Edited 18d ago )

They spoke about resident evil and monster hunter I would actually find the monster hunter breakdown more interesting tbh as I've always felt like this game would be at home on PC

but for resident evil it's always felt like a PlayStation mainstay despite having exclusivity elsewhere likely because it was where I first played it. The game feels like it's begging to be played lights off in the loungeroom late at night or also in VR I've never been as scared as I was playing re7 in VR

dveio18d ago (Edited 18d ago )

Is this really suprising? Looking at the evolution of the Switch, X|S and Playstation 5?

Eonjay18d ago

The biggest cause is probably the lack of game purchases on the Xbox platform. Also keep in mind this is only digital sales so there is a chunk of sales not being shown here.
