People have criticised sports games for simulating something that you could do in real life, outside, with other people, which has been cited as healthier and more social. This isn’t an airtight argument, however; to play football – or as you Americans call it, soccer – you need a considerable number of people, and the weather needs to be decent. In such situations, playing sports games on your favourite platform are perfectly justifiable.
