On 18 November 2008 appeared part 1, for 17 November this year, Left 4 Dead 2 announced. So Left 4 Dead will appear on 16 3 November 2010, this suggests our colleagues pcacion.de
A Left 4 Dead 3 reference was spotted in the files of the Counter-Strike 2 closed beta, suggesting that the title may finally be in development.
Not the first time it's been referenced. Valve said years ago that it wasn't in development, but of course things change. L4D3 was supposedly almost finished at one point but development stopped because Source 2 was still incomplete.
Most of the time you get people saying a third game isn't needed as there's nothing to improve upon anyways, which is complete nonsense. I have to wonder if those that say such things have junk computers or something. Why they'd want to keep playing the same repetitive thing over and over is beyond me.
Valve's Robin Walker elaborates on the rumored Left 4 Dead 3, Portal VR, and a whole lot more in this month's IGN Unfiltered.
If they are going to do more VR stuff, I prey it's not exclusive stuff
No one wants VR exclusive Portal, L4D stuff, give us the option and let everyone play, especially with how long we've all been waiting for new instalments to these games.
I'd like to see a new Counter Strike, that has a story mode and is inspired by SOCOM or SWAT. The world could use more tactical shooters and Valve could do a phenomenal job with this series, if they take it in this direction.
I just want L4D3 they popped out L4D2 pretty fast after the first game and now they are dragging their feet. I know L4D3 would be a day one for me the series is my favorite shooter and I don't like many shooters.
I don't think Portal VR is a good idea considering what you do in those game I'm pretty sure I'd be puking all over the place.
Valve says Left 4 Dead 3 is absolutely not in development at the studio, despite recent rumors.
Valve needs to actually make games. Half life alyx is a start, but there needs to be something other than VR and dota.
I’m not happy they sucked in campo santo and now have them doing their bidding.
If it did come out, especially in Aus, I hope they dont cut down from the gore like they did with 2. Turned out crap.
It could throw off the time frame if they were gonna make some massive adjustment/upgrades.
Nope, if it was going to come out this year it would have already been announced. Maybe summer of 2011, if not then most defiantly November 2011.
I love Left 4 Dead. It's one of my go-to games right now. Play it all the time with friends. For some reason, I just don't really like Left 4 Dead 2, though. I feel like all of the additions they put in just sort of detract from the experience more than they benefit. I guess I just feel like Left 4 Dead is a pure, distilled experience, and then when they added the new specials, uncommons, weapons, items, mechanics, etc. to the sequel it kind of bloated the thing and a lot of didn't really feel like it fit. It was a great game in its own right, but I just keep finding myself going back to the original. I played through each campaign of L4D2 a couple of times but then started to feel like I missed the purity of the first game and never looked back. I don't know if I can really explain it. I just hope that Left 4 Dead 3 captures the experience the way the first game did and doesn't bog itself down. I'm not explaining this well. Oh well. Even if L4D3 feels more like L4D2 than 1, I would still appreciate some new campaigns to play through. I just wish the mechanics would be the simple, pure setup of the first game, just with new maps to play on.
i doubt it or i think it would have been announced already. Now a PS3 version of the both left for dead 1 and 2 on one blu ray would be grand. Come on valve you have a potentially large customer base on PS3. I would without a doubt buy left for dead 1 and 2 on my PS3 despite gabe newel's bullsh1t over the past few years
