again take guys like balrog in the usual sf titles ... you can evades the fireballs with some of the moves , or absorb or punch through . And you forgot stuff like parry or focus ...

I find it amazing how so many people forget than while not probably as easy as spamming balls , half the cast of any street fighter or 2 fighting game is usually without a fireball and do fine

yeah and all those games still managed to be extremely great titles, so don't go comparing it to madden, a title that haven't much changed a thing since 06 game. street fighter series and the tekken series always has been epics fighting series, so this one is welcomed by many of us.

in sf4/ssf4 the two-hit combos are the same as sf2 in a lot of cases (cr mk to fireball), the crossups are the same, and the antiair/fireball zoning tactics are the same for tons of chars. sf4 has changed less than madden and actually undone a lot of what sf3 added.

even guile has the same two specials and mostly the same normals.

2nd in two years. Marvel vs Capcom is a separate franchise but if you count that, it's 3rd in 3 years. Plus Street Fighter vs Tekken probably won't be available for another year or two.

So after almost 10 years of nothing but ports, we finally get more Street Fighter and people still complain!

Let's see, Street Fighter 4 came out about a year and a half ago. Then Super Street Fighter 4 this year. And now there's going to be two crossovers between Street Fighter and Tekken, one of them not coming out until 2012.

So it's bad that we got two Street Fighter game (one of them being an update but that's another debate for another time) in two years and we're getting another one 2 years later?
And no, the Capcom vs Series doesn't count as Street Fighter. If you're gonna count that as Street Fighter, then you might as well also call it a Darkstalkers game or a Megaman fighting game.

But no, it's bad that they're doing this. How dare they keep making games to keep the fans pleased!
Again, this game isn't coming out until 2012, so chill out a bit. Now if this was more like Hyper street Fighter 4 Turbo or something then that'd be understandable. But it's not that at all.

this is nice, but I would have liked A LOT MORE if other namco bandai franchise character and capcom characters was there, like megaman, zero, darkstalkers series, tales of series (would have been awesome!), and many more!!!

but still, this is an amazing step for the fighting franchise. fans will welcome those games with open hands, I'm sure of it. MvsC 3 and now this, capcom wants to show who are the big developpers back in japan!

Before i can decide on what version to get i gotta see what is different from each of them. Going to be a very hard pick probably.

I wonder if its possible that no matter what version u had u could play with everyone has long as they had one of the two games. So if I owned street fighter one and someone online is playing with the tekken one. That would be pretty cool. I could see myself getting one copy at full price then if there is a big difference get the other version at a cheap price.

hum those two will be completely different game . From the trailer the capcom game is basically sf4 + tekken chars and new gameplay ... while the namco game will be obviously based on tekken 6's engine .

No, you haven't played it. And clearly looking at the fact you can roll and there's more potential to juggle in the game...I would say it's not the same gameplay as SFIV.
