GameZone's Steven Hopper becomes an architect of his own island in Tropico 3: Absolute Power on the PC. Extending the game by adding more off-the-wall objectives, does this add-on have enough substance or is it better left alone.
Haemimont Games have announced new updates for their strategy title Tropico 3 and its Absolute Power expansion, now available for download on Steam.
Kalypso Media, a global publisher of award-winning PC and console games have release Tropico 3: Gold Edition in the UK. The Gold Edition features the award-winning economic sim/city builder Tropico 3 for Windows, and its popular expansion - Absolute Power, all in one exciting package. Prepare to become El Presidente, the leader of the island republic of Tropico.
The premise of Tropico 3 places you as the leader of a small Caribbean island nation… dictator style. Essentially, you get to play as Fidel Castro. You are “El Presidente,” who seizes power and then must hold on to that power. The game is set during the Cold War era, and the interplay between the United States and Soviet Union can indeed impact events as they unfold on your tiny island paradise. Your overall goal is to remain in power as long as possible, by taking care of your populace, infrastructure, diplomatic relations, and of course tackling challenges that may come your way. The game is essentially a reboot of the first Tropico game, with the same general setup and game play, but with fresh graphics and many additions.
The stand-alone title was fantastic, but not sure if I am into the weird expansion additions.
