super mario brothers can be beaten in under 5 minutes. so what?
we really need to get over this retarded "dollar vs hours of gameplay" equation. i don't look at a dvd and bitch that it's $20 for a 90 minute experience. i don't look at a stephen king novel and bitch that it's $25 for a shorter novel than his previous book.
i think games are about the experience. i'm not going to buy a 100 hour game that bores the tits off of me just to feel like i got my moneys worth. $15 for an amazing experience, even if it's only an hour, is worth it to me. $60 for an amazing 5 hour retail game is worth it to me.
heres a little secret-you can replay the game! gamers these days seriously act like game discs are one time use only and erase themselves after their done. it's perfectly okay to put a game on the shelf for a month and go back to it. too many people equate replay value with "if i don't want to beat it over and over and over again the first day i own it, then i'll just rent it".
one hour?? I did not expect that.
