1080p games: Do they matter to you?

Alright, so obviously having your games displayed in native 1080p doesn't matter like, say, remembering never to cross the streams if you and a friend ever find yourselves firing proton packs. Still, there's a little pixel whore inside all of us who demands attention, wants to be bought nice things and always desires that slightly higher resolution in her games.

Fucking 1080p. How does it work?

lol. Cant believe crap games support 1080p, maybe thats the reason why they suck. Coz they focus more effort/time for the game to look prettier, rather than play better.

the best looking games are 720p like Uncharted 2, Killzone 2, God of War 3 let alone Gran Turismo 5

resolution isn't the only aspect of graphics, there are also polygonal structure, lightning, atmosphere, details, art design, colors... the only limitation is developer's talent

it only does Cell
..................Blu-Ray
..................Everything

I doubt peopke can tell the Pixels Difference between 1080 and 720 games.

The framerate is always more important to me than the resolution on console. If it's lurching up and down then a game pretty much becomes a nightmare for me. Obviously, on PC, higher resolutions are necessary to play a game on your monitor's native res, but then most modern gaming PCs can do both framerate and res with ease.

Nah, doesn't matter to me much, I'm sure there are those with the eyesight to differentiate between 720 and 1080, but on the TV I have it makes no difference.

I'd rather have rock steady frame rate at 720p than choppy frame rate at 1080
