Sweet. Can't wait to see how this actually turns out.

CrAppleton3648d ago

it will be awesome.. that is all there is to it

Neco5123648d ago

no kidding, I'm sure this will rock

MxShade3648d ago

It's going to have to be, or millions of fans will be after SOE's head.

Full retail price ($60USD), monthly subscription ($20USD a month) and micro-transactions.

I don't see how this is going to be very popular unless you're rich as f*ck!

Myze3647d ago

It's $14.99 a month, and that's the same price as something like WoW, but I guess everyone playing that is rich. The entire point of MMO's is to be games that never end. I know when I really get into playing an MMO, I usually don't buy any other games. Otherwise, I will buy 2-3 games a month. $14.99 a month is a hell of a lot cheaper than $180 a month. Of course, that all depends on how good the game is and how long it can hold my interest. First month is "free" with the purchase of the game, which gives you time to decide.

I have an uber PC, but I went with "PS3" beta instead. I'm going to use this as a litmus test for how PS3 MMOs are.

Personally, I like the idea of playing something from the comfort of my couch optimized for a control pad. I don't mind the hit in graphics.

MxShade3648d ago

I think DCUO will lend itself well to the PS3 - if anything, I'd be worried that PC controls will take a hit (ala FFXI).

Pennywise3647d ago

I applied for both. Hopefully I get both, so I can decide which is the way to go. Right now I am torn... PS3 trophies and friend list is a plus, but I feel like unless they enable KB/M for the PS3... the PC might just be the way to go.

Of course, I am still hoping for cross platform play.

Myze3647d ago

Yeah, I signed up for both. Figured, why not? One of the quickest beta sign-ups I've ever done.

CrAppleton3648d ago

SWEET! I'm on it! Thanks for the heads up!

DaRockSays3648d ago

looks interesting, I haven't heard too much on it though

Pennywise3648d ago

Examiner pulls through on this one.

Spenok3647d ago

I'm trying to sign up but i forgot my station name. :( Still currently trying to recover my username.

DaRockSays3648d ago

What's the just of it? just super heroes running around killing eachother?

MxShade3648d ago

Like any other superheroey game. But with DC licensed characters.

Baka-akaB3648d ago

i would say it's the same when you can't even pvp or create a villain with the concurrence . Except the now outdated ancestor of the genre : City of heroes

VersusEM3648d ago (Edited 3648d ago )

hmm looks interesting, I just might have to check this one out. Just sign up for the beta, cant wait to kick everyones ass with my Villan. Behold, The Sage has come.

MxShade3647d ago

I think I'm going Villain too. Being the white knight of society just isn't my thing.

VersusEM3647d ago

Yeah, agreed, this time, the villans beat the heros,.

Already signed up thank you very much for the heads up :)
