Next title I'll be purchasing.

HolyOrangeCows3104d ago (Edited 3104d ago )

Sounds good, but with the shorter length, I hope it comes with a reasonable price point.

HammockGames3104d ago

Almost like Braid & Winterbottom spliced their DNA.

seinfan3104d ago

I heard it's going to be $15. A little much for a short puzzle game, but Braid was the same.

candystop3104d ago

I'm picking it up but yeah the length part sucks. Hopefully there's a bit of replay-ability thanks to Achievements. 360 is doing a good job of delivering games throughout the year which I applaud MS for. This Wednesday I will be in Limbo!

GWAVE3104d ago

Man, this game looked great at E3. Glad to see that it turned out well. I'll probably pick it up at a later date if/when it hits other platforms.

JokesOnYou3104d ago

Sounds great....this will definitely be the next XBLA game I purchase.

Quagmire3104d ago

Too bad its not on PSN. Oh well, better get to creating on LBP then.

He mentions the achievements being hard. Does anyone know why they are so hard or a general idea of how to achieve them?

Convas3104d ago

Here, take a look at this.

Not only are the achievement descriptions very vague, one of the achievements involves "Complet/e/ing the game in one sitting with five or less deaths.

I'd say that'll be pretty difficult.

PandaJenkins3104d ago

I know someone who got an early review copy. He said it is really hard and that he died many times. I think he got like 15 achievement points from his first playthrough or something.

Acquiescence3104d ago

I'll be buying this. Unique games like Limbo deserve our unflagging support.

Chuk53104d ago

From several sources i've heard this game is 5-6 hours he's just a speed demon. I don't like how the reviewer pointed to that for the reason it didn't get perfect. These kind of games, puzzle platformers, shouldn't be long. I finished Portal in 3.5 hours and felt accomplished, I would have got bored if it was something like 10 hours.

DelbertGrady3104d ago

Pick up DeathSpank. I've played it for three days now without finishing it. Probably spent around 10-15 hours or so. And it's been nothing but awesome.

finbars753104d ago (Edited 3104d ago )

Deathspnak is by far the best $15 I have spent in a long time.Long story humourous conversations the dialogue is awsome and theres so much to do without getting bored.I wish Limbo was coming to the psn myself im starting to like more of these downloadable games more and more as the year goes on.I hope Limbo has a longer story if thats what he is saying.Only time will tell.

Blair Herter previewed this on G4. Said he played two hours and was over 40% complete. But that's not really important if the game is great, and of course not to expensive. For example Flower takes about 4-5 hours to playthrough once with minimal exploration, but you will put an easy 15+ hours into it to collect all the pedals and riddle-like trophies. Also you can get all it's trophies in under a week(anyone get that remark?) So appreciate Limbo for being qwerky and unique.

On hard trophies: I bet it's a bitch if one is like, beat every levels(if it is levels, I dunno) without dying

despair3104d ago

cheating in flower eh? lol turning back the clock for a trophy is wrong :)

NecrumSlavery3104d ago

I never cheated. It was a suprise for me since I never looked at the trophy list at all.

I recently bought Microsoft points for 2 main reasons:

1. Mass Effect 2 DLC
2. Limbo

On July 21st, I will be a very happy person.
