François Chang, Contributing Editor of DualShockers writes, "With tomorrow being the release date for Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies, Nintendo World Store and Rockefeller Center hosted a grand event to celebrate the launch of the highly anticipated title. Attendees were able to purchase and play the game a day early, snag themselves a T-shirt, enjoy some frozen snacks and even a special few were able to receive autographs from Yuji Horii, creator of the Dragon Quest series. This all sounds overwhelming, so we’ll walk you through on the details on what went on between the hours of 1pm and 4pm..."
TNS: Based on its most recent ESG data, Nintendo boasts a remarkably low staff turnover rate of just 1.9%, with virtually no reported layoffs.
Well it doesn’t surprise me. As much money as they make and how they value their employees. It’s a great company in that regard.
Well, when your games remain full price many years after release.
And you make profit off of outdated hardware.
I would be shocked if they couldn't afford to retain their staff.
The Nintendo Switch 2 has set a new record by selling over 3 million units within 24 hours, tripling the PlayStation 4’s previous launch day sales.
Its crazy that it's both the highest selling console on day 1 and people can walk into a store and buy it with no pre order
Unlike the Switch 2 , the Playstation 4 was not sold on the same day in most regions.
Company skipped last year's event.
Not surprising at all.
I mean, they´ll be releasing a new console in a few weeks.
looks like it was a very fun event. I love SLIME!!
Wish I could have been there to gain experience slashing that big slime up!
can't wait to find the time to play this. Hopefully being on a handheld system doesn't hamper my enjoyment of the game.
I like that they had a giant Blue slime there and the creator actually signed things with a small picture of a slime and his signature. Cool event as always at Nintendo world
that looks hella fun. when u see this type of thing, you have to first put aside your jealousy, so that you can appreciate how enjoying the event must have been....
