Some people want the Madden series to become exclusively digital, including RunDLC's Chris Buffa. However, we've got five reasons why this isn't such a hot idea.
Figured you would. :P
The reasons are retarded and would never be considered taken seriously. I hope this idiot realizes that digital distribution is the future and hard copies will be a thing of the past. Most of his reasons are dated and show he is a relic in gaming. Online gaming has risen faster than expected and the need for PARTY FOOTBALL GAMES is not relevant any longer. Also the fact that bars would hold tournaments and he said you would have to lug your console there is ridiculous. Has this fool heard of a flash drive or memory card? If a bar is holding tournament, they would have to obtain the latest updates and roster changes to be credible. No one cares about Midnight Madness. There's a small percentage that actually camp out like idiots to buy the game at midnight. Is this really on the list? No one said that you would have to download the entire game. It would be a roster update and patch to include the new features. Personally I don't have a problem with a new game yearly. I just don't want to spend $60 on it. If they reduced the price on Sports, Fighting, and Racing games...it would more acceptable.
Dated, eh? Then explain how retail games sell bigger and better in numbers than online ones. :)
What online games are you referring to? The old games that started on retail shelves? Shut up! The only online games you can buy are older retail titles. In case you didn't know, Games on Demand are not new games. Maybe that's why they are $20. Even Socom: Confrontation which is online only was sold in stores for $40, so what are talking about. Don't ever respond to me unless you have something intelligent to say. Try putting Modern Warfare as a download only game and test that theory, genius. That comment was so stupid I have to repeat it.. "EXPLAIN HOW RETAIL GAMES SELL BIGGER AND BETTER NUMBERS THAN ONLINE ONES" TheDCD, you have officially been named the BIGGEST DUMMY on N4G.COM
The title of this article is grammatical wizardry at its very best... Hurrah for videogames journalism. *smirk*
