Interview: Brjann Sigurgeirs​son Talks ‘SteamWorld Dig’

Analog Addiction writes: "One of the biggest surprises this year came in the world of SteamWorld Dig, the Image & Form developed title took the 3DS eShop by storm critically and commercially. Analog Addiction’s own Javan Rivera gave the game a 9.0, stating “SteamWorld Dig represents a tremendously successful combination of simplicity and player freedom.”

Image & Form on SteamWorld Dig, 3DS Development and Working With Nintendo

Nintendo Life: SteamWorld: Tower Defense arrived on DSiWare back in the summer of 2010, and represented the Nintendo debut of Swedish developer Image & Form. Its stylish approach was well received critically, and despite its brevity represented a solid offering worth consideration on the last-gen handheld's download store. Image & Form is bringing that game world back in upcoming 3DS eShop title SteamWorld Dig, but this time in the form of an action platformer, where mining is the name of the game. The developer plans to submit SteamWorld Dig to Nintendo for approval in mid-May.

NWR: SteamWorld Tower Defense Review

SteamWorld is by no means a bad game. Not only is it one of the better tower defense games on the service but it is also Image & Form’s first release on the platform. Needless to say, they are off to a great start. Their debut effort is a pretty traditional game that packs quite a challenge. If tower defense games are your thing, look no further than this.
