Civilization V won’t be going too crazy on the DRM front, producer Dennis Shirk has revealed.
Speaking in an interview tdoay, Shirk confirmed that the game will use Steam’s in-built DRM system, rather than any more intrusive anti-piracy measures.
Asked whether the team would consider a system akin to UbiSoft’s recent games, whereby players must be connected to the internet at all times regardless of whether the title has online functionality or not, Shirk responded: “No. No. I don’t think anybody on our team wants anything like that.”
