Suikoden 6.

Borrowing the addictive gameplay mechanics from Peace Walker.

Build your own castle. Recruit personals to research weapons, magics, items, armors, etc. Build your army and send them to fight in wars while you go on missions. Liberate towns and build our own Kingdom. Recruit all the 108 characters.

It's basically all the mechanics that makes Peace Walker so addictive, but applied it to Suikoden. Add cinimatics, add great character development, add a great storyline, great graphics and music, and...

Kojima'a going to make the greatest JRPG ever, and make it become the best selling JRPG ever.

And then I woke up.

I think he's gonna make some kind of interactive movie, which would be taboo for the games industry.

For example, a game where you don't really have to kill hundreds of people with one standard fighting mechanic (like most games). Instead, it would be a game where you'd be a detective or something and you'd only face a handful of ennemies through the game. The rest of the time, you'd be investigating, talking, etc...

I could really see Kojima do this. Some kind of next-gen Snatcher

Heavy Rain. I think its more along the lines of it being against his culture that he will involve in the video game and if its wrongly recieved he will step down etc.

Whats his definition of messing up? I think MGS4 sold 5 million + units? I think the only way he could fuck up if he doesn't do ZOE right. I mean, ZOE1 story was better than part 2, so I dont know. I think he's referring to his personal ambition rather than how good he does in sales. I think what he needs most are fans support.

KingKiff3024d ago (Edited 3024d ago )

I played the first 2 but did not get into the story or the game play.

It was all like fly here and shoot robot A then fly here and shoot robot B, not to mention that I finished it in under 1 day... I also thought that the story was very weak and just didn't hold water in the real world.

Good game but I don't understand the cult like following it bread.

DaTruth3024d ago (Edited 3024d ago )

I don't understand why anyone liked that game! The story sucked and you're given the overwhelmingly most powerful weapons at the beginning of the game and every other weapon is so underpowered they are rendered useless! And the destruction they touted on the box was the saddest display of destruction I ever saw; just blocks of buildings that disintegrate into blocks of rubble.

Everybody's entitled to their opinion, but I just don't get what people saw in this game!

Edit: And considering the fact that I played Oni as my introduction to 6th gen consoles, just prior to ZOE made it worse; Oni was so awesome and just crapped all over ZOE!

As long as its something NEW, not MGS, I'll be happy. MGS's story is done, it's time to let this guy make something new and amazing!

Eamon3024d ago

I think he said he will either make another MGS game or a completely original project.

Since you were tripping in the last article, I just thought I would mention that he doesn't seem to consider Rising his next project, as he is already discussing the possible failure of his next project before Rising has been evaluated without explicitly mentioning Rising. Seeing as how that would be his next project if he was really so heavily involved as you stated.
