IGN: 250GB Xbox 360 S Review

When all is said and done, the biggest priority for consumers is value; and with more connectivity solutions, and built-in Wi-Fi at the same price of the existing Xbox 360 Elite, the redesigned system is a pretty alluring package. IGN will always have a soft spot for the original design, but ultimately the new design will benefit new users in both form and function.

Interesting, might considering getting one then.

lociefer5041d ago (Edited 5041d ago )

lol * 7.5 Build Quality
Though well constructed, the new design looks and feels cheaper than previous iterations.* , thought it wasnt possible xD

Cevapi885040d ago

this is what the 360 should have been in '05...

Spenok5040d ago

To be honest neither did i. I wonder how it "feels cheaper?"

Donny5041d ago (Edited 5041d ago )

hahaha funny pic.

on topic, i think its a fair review...

The new 360 S is awesome. It looks great, is super quiet, has a huge hard drive and built-in wi-fi if you need it (although I still prefer a wired connection). It doesn't even get hot. Well, it gets slightly warm, but nothing like my PS3 or older 360.

ezcex5041d ago

This is the best 360 currently out to get. 250gb with Wifi, there is no better deal out.

SOAD5041d ago

If I were to get one, I would still use a Cat5 cable. My internet modem is in my living room, and my 360 is in my bedroom. Downloading stuff takes a long time for me without a cable.

IdleLeeSiuLung5040d ago

How fast is your internet connection?

Most people's internet connection bandwidth doesn't exceed the wireless g speeds of (actual around 26mbps), let alone the n speeds. I'm on wireless g since I use a wireless bridge (configured with Tomato Linux firmware). My internet connection tops out at 12 mbps, way below the actual speed my wireless g can do.

"there is no better deal out."

ummm.....it's called the PS3 Slim

best bang for your buck

& thanks to all the butt-hurt 360 fangirls, i only have 1 bubble left

Colonel-Killzone5040d ago

You got 1 bubble for trolling....... like your doing right now.

godoftime5041d ago

a 360 with that many gigs is a must. So good to see MS finally giving the gamers what they've been asking and begging for. YESSSSS

DrPirate5041d ago

I like the new look, and the integrated wireless is pretty badass.

I never got around to mass effect - I’m skeptical that it would hold up if I were to try it now

Furesis11h ago

I would say it does. The combat is a bit shit for todays standards but everything else is great.

anast10h ago

It's worth a play through today.

gold_drake3h ago

the first one is abit the odd one out but after u finished it, believe it it gets tremendously better and better

El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron - Coming Back for a New Generation

Originally launched in 2011, El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron is coming to Nintendo Switch, so It's time to look back at the original.

jznrpg1d 6h ago

Still have my ps3 copies. Bought it at launch and another one when I found it cheap and in perfect condition about 10 years ago. I wouldn’t buy it on Switch but if they made a PS5 version I would. I still have one of my PS3 Fats hooked up so good to go either way.

darthv721d 6h ago

Id play it again on the switch. I wished my 360 version was bc but this is still a good way to play.

Fallout 3's Reveal Led To Death Threats And Bethesda's First Security Guard

The artist behind Fallout 4’s Deathclaw reveals just how bad things got back when Bethesda took over the series

anast1d 8h ago

People are stupid I get it. No one should feel unsafe,

But I think they need to talk about why they cut so many corners during the development process and why none of their games ever look current. And why they think all of this is okay while they charge full price.

LucasRuinedChildhood1d 7h ago

As much as Bethesda deserve criticism, that's not really relevant to the reveal of Fallout 3 in 2007.

VenomUK1d 4h ago

The default angle Kotaku always go for is to highlight the worst in gaming.

I would’ve focused on the creative.

anast10h ago

The game went downhill at Fallout 3's release. This is when they started to cut corners.

gold_drake1d 3h ago

there is no "but". the hell lol
you dont send death threats, period.

anast10h ago

Usually, you have good comments but this isn't one of them. It just rides the mob. We can do both condemn the actions and not let them use it for other things.

I can say I received a death threat and everyone needs to shut up. People are not honest and will use horrible things to their advantage.

Armaggedon22h ago

Not all games “look” current.

anast10h ago

Their games always look like the gen before it.

Armaggedon1h ago

Yeah, but thats not the result of laziness, incompetence, or a bad engine. Thats what happens with their type of open world games. Its hard for people to find a point of comparison because no one makes games like Bethesda does.

gold_drake3h ago

mh ok thanks, i still think ur wrong in this mate.

anast2h ago

No problem. I'm not here to convince you. I'm only stating an actuality. What your words do if we look at them like events.
