A new Rayman game! Even if he does look like a retard this time round.

My hart jumped from joy when it heard a new real Rayman game is coming and fell trough the floor when I heard it was episodic...

Saw the stunning trailer, and was very pleasantly surprised.

Read it was episodic, and went:'damn... that's a shame'.

Probably won't be buying it. Would have definitely bought it if it would have been a complete game.
Same with Sonic 4 btw.

Yes, the PS3 and 360 are the only CONFIRMED platforms....

well it's awesome some 2d games are coming back, like this and sonic. But this whole episodic nickel and dime us bs sucks. Just release the fcking game. Developers always trying to find a why to get the most cash out of us. I think breaking the game up will hurt the experience.

definitely getting this...

It's great news, and the game is lookin more than the part.

But yes...why? Why the episodic nonsense?

Theonik3963d ago (Edited 3963d ago )

More money to be made that way. People are used to paying 10-15$ for DLC games and occasionally 20$. So if they priced it higher than that they'd have an issue with sales. Episodic content allows them to get the value of a full game while not asking too much money at once. (and allows them to improve the game based on community feedback from previous episodes)

Edit: Sega claimed that was the reason for the Sonic 4 episodes. Don't think i'm very far off...
