One of the most courageous gamers in the country is getting plenty of recognition as a paraplegic gamer. Paralyzed from the chest down and without any movement of his fingers, this gamer should truly be called a hardcore gamer.
thats really cool
And he totally pwns y'all
this is pretty old
You're right, this is pretty old. He is quite good though. Glad he can enjoy video games.
I take my hat off to this guy, goes to show those who put the effort in can accomplish anything
i'm still finding it hard to play MW2, and i have 2 working hands.
Way to torture the poor guy :p
Similar to this on the PSU forums with many screenshots and video's. It's in my opinion even more complex than this person's system of playing. Both are really inspiring though! Congratz to him for his hard work.
This is really old...
Glad to see this guy enjoying some CoD :)
[email protected] the word enjoying and CoD in the same sentence.
why are we reposting the same story?
Did you did it? Did i did it? ON TOPIC He is an example of what NEVER GIVE UP NEVER SURRENDER means
"FOOOR MERINOOOOO!" Ahem- uhhh... sorry.
Why are you guys being d*cks?! "OLD har har har". I've never seen the story and its quite fascinating. Hes a paraplegic and you guys are complaining about the story being old. This is a simply amazing story. Be glad you actually can move your arms and legs you assholes.
GJ now thats effort..
please put this guy on oprah or a talk show or something and demo him playing
damn, he has some pretty sharp aiming, considering his situation.
Now that's an achievement...
Holy smokes, I bet money he's better than me.
This story really made me think a bit. Thumbs up for this guy. Seriously..
This is amazing.. I'm glad he's found a way to continue playing his favorite hobby through his trials and tribulations. I, for one, can't even fathom being in this situation. All the Super Street Fighter IV matches that I play, I can't even begin to think about not being able to use my arcade stick. Props to him! and also props to that younger boy who beat Ben Roethlesburger at Madden using only his head.
it's extremely encouraging to many who may have been gamers, but felt that their disability kept them from pursuing that hobby. gaming is one of my favorite forms of entertainment, and i don't know what i'd do if i was somehow unable to continue doing it. this guy found a way to keep on gaming, and that's awesome and impressive. i personally hadn't seen this story before. it's one of those things where you just can't help but smile after reading it. considering what news sites deem worthy of news (death, destruction, obnoxious celebrities doing obnoxious things), it's nice to have a story that makes you think about the strength of the human spirit and will. what i get from this story is, you can't let ANYTHING get you down, and keep you from living the life you've been given. for this guy, it starts with being able to play his favorite games, and who knows HOW this will encourage him to improve and address other areas of his life? i imagine being paralyzed has affected more than just his body, but his self esteem and confidence. this triumph i'm sure gave him a boost. it's a great story to hear.
Where are all the LOL MW2 SUCKS guys?
Don't ruin the thread >_>
Sorry but I couldnt help calling out the guys who swarm every MW2 related article. But this dudes amazing for being handicapped. Theres also a guy who plays one handed whos cool to watch also.
That guy is truly the best player out there for that game. Screw status the fact he can play like that just blows everyone out of the water good for him. Just because something dramatic happens in your life doesn't mean you cant make the best of it and fix it a little bit.
the thing I admire about all this is he's about as good as me on mod war and he can't use his fingers...
That's quite an inspiration I received. Old? Maybe it is but not everyone (like me) has seen it before, and it was a joy to see.
LOL he has a holographic on his SPAZ. What a noob.
OK I feel like a puss for bitching about not being able to see 3D...
This is old news
This is definitely a real life achievement/trophy within itself. It's makes me feel grateful that I still have both hands working fine. It's really inspirational.
