Red Dead Redemption was released on May 18, 2010, for both the PS3 and Xbox 360.

Where are you getting your information from? How many copies of those PS3 games that you mention were sold in May?

And, where do 360 games such as Mass Effect 2, Splinter Cell, & Alan Wake rank in relation to those PS3 games? I'm sure some 360 owners were buying those games as well as RDR.

Looks like 360 owners are still buying more games. Just face facts and don't let the gloating of 360 fan get you so mad that you have to go created your own "home-made facts". If 360 owners were only buying RDR, wouldn't the attach rate be closer to 1 game per console.

Good multiplats usually dominate on 360, sometime 3:1. So to try to create an excuse is pointless. This is just the way of things.

Oh and MNR isn't selling. sales for all recent car games are very low. In fact, if you all those exclusives together for the month, they sill would match RDR sales on 360.

Xbox360 does not sell more Games Worldwide.

A handful of games selling better on Xbox360 does not mean its Total sale is higher. PS owners tend to buy diverse lineup of games. What is so difficult about this idea.
Last year,PS3 sold about 115 mil softwares vs Xbox360's 103 mil.

PS3 also had shortages in May.

its a great game with superb ending and online has alot of potential but to be honest i hope to see more new features in the future cos it could be so much better,although the latest coop pack showed that they are moving in th right direction, still free roam is kinda empty. also i still hope that they release patch for ps3 to improve the visuals.

The 360 doesn't have a 2:1 hardware lead in the US yet RDR sold almost twice as much on the 360 platform. I don't see how that's close in any way.

From my experiences with multiplatform games, they have always been better on Xbox. Not to mention the better online service, so I always get my multiplatform games for Xbox and use my PS3 just for the PS3 exclusives.

That 5 million hardware advantage for the 360 makes for more sales. It's kinda cool cause I thought that 5 mill included all the weirdo's with multiple systems (like me - hello slim, goodbye HDMIless 20 giger) and the 13.33 million broken ones lol -POS these 360s hardware were/are. Either way, 360 owners luv their games. Now if both version had equal graphics maybe the sales would be on an even keel. That's right, I said it - it's the joy of having both systems.

I have never hid the fact that I prefer my PS3, but I also have never wanted the 360 as a platform to fail. I wanted MS to get their asses handed to them for knowingly launching a faulty piece of hardware, but I never wanted the platform to fail. All this hate for a platform that makes your preferred platform better makes no sense.

Some games sell better on 360, some games sell better on PS3. Right? I mean right now, hardware sales on either console are pretty even, it could go either way but it's either going to end in a tie (within 5m sales) or a PS3 lead.

The WW sales difference for RDR between each system will be less than 20%, so it's not really a big deal. It's not enough to make the developer change plans for future developments (giving exclusivity to either console, or changing marketing approaches). Like sales reports from say, Tekken 6, or Final Fantasy XIII would be.

Joking, but seriously, I went to get Star Ocean on the PS3 and they tried to sale me a used 360 copy.

I said I wanted the PS3 International, and she told me she didn't have any used copies,(which I didn't ask for) but they keep new copies in the back. So, I finally got what I wanted instead of what they tried to sale me.

Now,what I'm wondering is, how many times has this happened, and does it happen with new releases too?

Like all Multiplatform titles I bought RDR for my 360 rather than my PS3. They look better and play better and most likely always will. I will continue purchasing this way regardless of any so-called "exclusive" content. Any EA titles I get will be for the 360. The MOH beta confirmed that once again.
