Nathan Drake is a stereotypical treasure hunter ala Indiana Jones. I like Gordon Freeman, Agent 47, and Sam Fisher. I'd list Snake but I've only played one MSG game so I can't judge on that.

Stereotypical treasure hunter, white guy with a girl going to search some ancient ruins for a fabled treasure. Travels through jungles shooting enemies and blowing up stuff. Climbing impossible walls and statues to reach some magical ancient levers that cause the most incredible things to happen, like some sort of mechanical marvel, it suddenly springs to life, moving huge boulders, causing a spiked ceiling to slowly lower onto hapless victims. All that Hollywood treasure stuff.

Did you just say stereotypical treasure hunter. How many treasure hunters do we have compared to super spies... How do we know what a stereotypical one is. Do you mean Jack Sparrow or Indiana Jones, Because they share no similarities except treasure. Drake is more of a underground criminal then a treasure hunter. He's not trying to seek treasure for his own purposes anymore. If you don't know anything about the game don't make assumptions. Gordon Freeman isn't that cool, Unique yes but that doesn't qualify as the definition of cool. Out of this list it's more like DUKE NUKEM.

They all follow some crazy treasure maps, discovering ancient "traps" that could never have been designed during the time the treasure was placed. I.E. Pushing a small button or moving a lever causes a huge stone wall to move out of the way, revealing some giant statue who's arms move and have to be placed in the correct position, thus opening yet another secret chamber located in the floor. magical steps suddenly appear going downward, leading to yet another hidden passageway.

You know what I mean by stereotypical treasure hunters, it doesn't take a genius to figure it out.

How often do you see a hired assassin, ala Agent 47 kill people, take their uniforms, hide weapons inside serving trays, drop chandeliers on people, poison them with tainted food, and infiltrate huge complexes and mansions?

I've owned a PS3 since launch. I finally bought a 360S a week ago after selling my original one over a year ago. I own both consoles, plus Wii. You must think I'm a fanboy. Pretty sad that people make such assumptions based on a couple of video game characters I've mentioned. BTW Sam Fisher and Splinter Cell games have been on Playstation consoles.

you got love how he calls drake stereotypical then goes on to list the stereotypical secret agent sam fisher and agent 47. gordon freeman can't be consider a good character seeing as he has no personality. how many words has he even spoken? i guess we can't expect a 360 fanboy to know what good characters are since the 360 has none.

No he is asying that, because Naughty Dog was very clear the Nathan was inspired by your typical treasure hunter/everyman stuck is a messed up situation kinda guy, and that is fine, why do you take offence to this?
