This game is going to be great, but where's the hype ????Seems like I'm the only one interested.

For a zombie game, this looks great!

rockleex4913d ago

I just wish it supports 4 player co-op offline and online. ^_^

Methinks zombie games are getting played out. I don't mind having zombie games because killing hordes of things with different weapons is awesome, but I think people are growing tired of the gameplay.

Hellyess More Zombies More Fun.

Darkfiber4914d ago

I'm interested in this as well, I just think it's taking way too long to make for a $10 downloadable game. Besides, it looks way too much like that Zombie Apocalypse game (though I'm sure it will be better) which people probably got their fill with. Zombies are so 2007, at this point I don't think anyone really wants another zombie game.

Szarky4914d ago

I agree. I'll probably still buy the game but seriously? More zombies?

I love the graphics/art style. Very cool. Why not put in a unique twist. It's essentially just another twin stick shooter. Guess zombies was the "safe" bet to get easy sales of the game. Take a chance, if you're good at what you do it'll be a good game. Look at thatgamecompany with flow, flower and soon to be release Journey. Those guys are crazy.

Zombies are so 2007?? Wha? How about so 1980. Regardless, Dead Nation still looks really good. What sucks is the wait, because my hype has died down. I'm also positive it will be better than Zombie Apocalypse, which wasn't even worth the money. That game was more arena based too, whereas Dead Nation has more expansive levels.

Is one mean looking game that I can't wait to get my hands on! Like an arcade style Left 4 Dead w/ x1000 more zombies

Anybody know the release date? The trailer shows nothing. :/

EDIT: Fall.. At least it's this year. Me want now!

StarScream4Ever4914d ago

Its Super Star Dust HD + Left 4 Dead = Top Down Zombies fest. :D

Cryptech4914d ago

Its a game i will be buying!

ALFAxD_CENTAURO4914d ago

The VR version of Stardust is an incredible experience, even for those that get VR sickness, the game gives you the feeling of floating in the vastness of space, but the motion sickness is removed, its colorful, flashy, and amazing to play

IBD Podcast #13 - Housemarque and mastering the twin-stick shooter

Housemarque is famed for its downloadable console games including Super Stardust, Dead Nation, Alienation, PS4 launch title Resogun and now Nex Machina. The veteran Finnish developer has made a name for itself crafting, precise, polished, technically accomplished and visually striking titles in publishing partnership with Sony.

With its latest title, Nex Machina, launching for both PS4 and PC, Housemarque is taking its first step into self-publishing. Working in collaboration with pioneering developer Eugene Jarvis, who created arcade classics such as Defender, Robotron: 2084 and Smash TV, Nex Machina represents both a refinement and evolution of Housemarque's design principles, as well as an opportunity for the developer to directly benefit from establishing and retaining its own IP.

Here, Housemarque CEO Ilari Kuittinen and head of publishing Mikael Haveri discuss how the decision to self-publish has led to greater autonomy, a collaboration with Eugene Jarvis and how a game titled "Death Machine" could mean a new lease of life for the company.
