No Official Release Date For Gran Turismo 5 For Everywhere But North America

From iGame Report:
"Gran Turismo 5 available in North America and Latin America on November 2nd" Jack Trenton himself said this, and to me this is a huge disappointment, as the European region is a huge sales region for the game. As well as the Japanese regions......annoying I know, but at least we have a whole heap of new information on the game.

Update From iGame: Have gotten reply back from SCEA(Australia) and they have told me that it has no release date for GT5 available. They have given me a window of November though so it is hopeful that it will launch close to the NA release date.

Historically, Europe would get it a couple of months later... but release dates haven't been too bad this gen, I still expect the 5th November, at the latest, for UK.... but, with it being such a big game, worldwide release maybe?

There's more GT fans living in Europe, its the one game we've all been waiting for, hopefully it wont be released long after the US release

The GT series is the reason i've always been a PlayStation owner, it's the only series i buy on the day its comes out

i seem to remember reading before that Kaz Yamauchi would like to do a worldwide same day launch. Though that was months ago, things might have changed. Its bound to come around the november time though. They'd be stupid to release it after xmas

that it's the other way around. Europe and Japan/Asia will probably get it earlier, since Europe tend to sell a lot for the GT franchise.

They must have thought they were close to release when they set a date for March/April eaerlier this year....

Wait for Gamescom for the release date, I bet Europeans will get it in October and Japan will get it end of November.

I believe on IGN Live that they just said it will release worldwide in November. So I wouldn't expect a difference of more than a couple weeks for any territory.

I'll have to wait for it to be uploaded for me to double check that.

Probably the friday of that week in Europe so the 5th, and probably the 4th for Japan. If not the thursday before that week.

I'm just so excited that they actually include Latin America in their statement - I live in Brazil, console and store are about to launch here, media has already said it's possible they will set a factory here or in other Latin America country to produce consoles and games, that shall make those games way cheaper around here - that I actually didn't realised they didn't put out other areas release date.

Still, I don't think LA will get the game before EU - where the market is already proved to sell a lot of copies - unless they intend to use it like a big promotion of the PS3 in LA, as to launch the console around the same time and release the game day and date with NA - from where most games here come from.

My guess s Japan will receive it some weeks earlier, than EU less than a week earlier or day and date with NA. But it's just a guess, we'll have to wait for TGS to know more.
