Xbox Live Indie-Dome: May 17th – 30th, 2010

"(Xbox Live Indie-Dome is a bi-weekly feature where we sift through the Xbox Live Indie Games Marketplace to find the best and worst... so you don't have to!)

"Well now, that last Indie-Dome was a bit of a surprise. Not only were there a ton of titles, but there were a lot of extremes. Sure there were more terrible games than awesome ones, but not by much. In fact, I’m pretty sure the last ‘Dome had the largest list of *Must Plays* so far. Like you, I’m also curious to know how this next collection of interactive experiments will fare. I was expecting a couple games, but you went all out. Thanks for taking one for the team.

Every Indie-Dome is the best (and worst) of two weeks of releases, so yeah - it gets hefty. The one prior to this was ridiculously huge.

No problem. I'm nothing if not thorough.

Really good work. Excellent read.

Ok you just simplified my search for good games this week lol. Honestly I can't believe how many games are in the 360 indie section built from the ground up.

I love LBP (can't wait for LBP2) and the MNR demo was cool, so I'll probably pick that up soon....but I hate that Sony seems to get all the credit and positive press for their "Play, Create, Share"...and MS gets NO CREDIT for XNA and XBLIG.
I really don't get the double standard...ESPECIALLY since XBLIG is MUCH more about TRUE creation/innovation, rather than just using a map editor or tool kit. Just like with XBL, and Achievements, MS created the XNA sdk and XBLIG to bring gamers together, and give them a medium through which they could share their passion and ideas for games. Kudos to MS for giving gamers such a great venue for sharing their ideas and games with the world.

Would be cool if we get to see what indie devs can do with Natal. It would be stupid of MS not to let them in on it.
