On PlayStation Network, there isn't exactly a shortage of puzzle games. If you log onto the PSN and count all of the games in the genre, you'll come up with over forty. And some of those games, like Shatter and Braid, are amongst PlayStation 3's best downloadable titles. But among the more traditional puzzle fare, there isn't a whole lot to choose from in terms of quality titles. And that's where we have both some good news and some bad news. The good news is that Super Stacker is actually a pretty fun game, with lots of depth. The bad news, unfortunately, is that Super Stacker isn't a top echelon title when compared to other premium titles on the PSN. But that doesn't detract from what it happens to do right... which is a lot.
Eurogamer writes: "'It's not only about racing. It's about rallying. That's something different.'
I'm sat in a hotel meeting room in a mildly scruffy corner of Milan, just around the corner from the offices of the motorsport game specialist Milestone. Irvin Zonca, physics game designer, is explaining - with soulful enthusiasm - what this independent developer discovered about the spirit of the World Rally Championship when it started working with the sport's teams and drivers some three years ago."
Chris from PSNStores takes you through some of the features of the PSN title, Super Stacker.
PSNStores: "It’s a bit hard to mess up a game in the stacking genre, and certainly the physics and controls get the job done. Not my favorite game in the genre, or even of the week, but buy it for less than $10 during a future PSN sale and you’ll get your money’s worth. It’s definitely not a bad game, just a supremely average one."
