HollywoodChicago: Rarely has a game lived up to the advance hype as completely as “Red Dead Redemption,” the very unique title that will be influential in so many ways that they’re almost hard to count. There have been titles that pushed the gaming world forward in terms of single-player campaigns or multi-player experiences or gameplay or graphics, but “Red Dead Redemption” is a masterpiece on every discernable level. It’s doubtful you’ll play anything better all year.
Yeeehaw! Howdy, partner! Saddle up and mosey on down to check out the best western-themed video games you can rustle up on the PS4 today.
While not on the PS4, if you want a pretty imaginative and downright fun Cowboy game you should check out Call of Juarez: Gunslinger. Not only is it a great arcade FPS in its own right but one that has some Narrative Elements that interact with the Gameplay in a pretty surprising and novel way. Something a few of the AAAAAAAA games should be looking at in order to marry the Narrative with the Gameplay better.
The best part is that you can get it for a few dollars on GOG or STEAM during their sales.
From school politics to ping-pong, pistols to police procedurals, let’s dive into the best that Rockstar has to offer.
Rockstar Games may be preparing to release its open world action adventure game, Red Dead Redemption 1, on PC.
There aren't many games I'd double dip for, but having originally gotten this for PS3, I would happily get this if true.
to even be on the list, let alone win...
Heavy Rain is definitely mine so far.
God of War 3 is second.
Mass Effect 2 was alright.
Alan Wake was alright.
Metro 2033 was GORGEOUS!!! It surprised me. Amazing game.
Bayonetta was incredible too.
Overall though...I've played through Heavy Rain maybe 8 times now. Lol. It's so addicting! I can't believe any reviewer would give it under a 10. I cried. I laughed. I was lost in the characters. No game this year has done that for me so well as HR.
God of War 3 was still just...insanely good. My jaw never left the floor. That game took me on a ride I'll never forget.
The only thing that could possibly touch those two for me would be The Last Guardian. That will probably be a 2011 release though. Lol.
Also...Red Dead freakin' rocks!!! Haha. Just putting that out there.
