I think it's simply a case of people don't want an MMA game every year. It's not as if these have been coming out yearly and doing great every year. Last year was a good MMA game, it's main audience had their fill for now and likely aren't ready for another yet.

Gamers are probably a little hesitant to buy rehashed games. I said this before but wrestling games/mma games are not conducive to coming out every year. I mean there is no real big difference between this version and last year's version. Once again the greed of the companies ruin a franchise. See WWE Smackdown and Madden.

I think many publishers need to look at release dates and be a bit more realistic about their chances. When a 20-30hr game like Red Dead comes out, do you really think anyone other than a hardcore gamer (or those with no life) will have completed it by now?
After I finish Red Dead, I will play Split Second and hopefully get round to Bioshock 2.

Games do seem to come out in bursts. They all release 20+hr games at the same time then complain about the figures. Well it doesnt take a genius to work out why.

I'm sick & tired of people mentioning WWE is fake. The only fake thing about the WWE is the outcome, story lines, etc... The action is indeed 75% real, the other 25% is pretty much entertainment moves such as (finishers, punches.. etc)

OT: I got last year's version and I have little need to buy this year's version even with a slight overhauled in gameplay and expanded roster.

Unless it is NBA 2K series..but I am a diehard hoops fan so it is in my blood to buy it every year, can't resist a payable Air Jordan and John Wall in this year's addition. :)

WWE is fake! If somebody actually did a piledriver to you, you'd snap your neck and end up paralyzed. Also those punches where they stomp on the floor to make it sound like it's connecting? What about years ago when I watched, I'm talking early 90s when I was in middle school, they had this guy named Papa Shango and lol, all that scripted stuff. Some guy suddenly had green ooze coming out of his scalp (yeah that's real) because big bad scary Papa Shango cursed him!

Def. not fake buddy. And 90% of the matches are improv, the only scripted element is are some spots (moves) and the ending. That's it.

Do research before you say "its fake" nothing is fake but the entertainment/outcome. You wouldn't last 10 minutes in a wrestling school.

I would LOVE to see any regular Joe off the streets try to wrestle and take all the bumps that wrestlers take. Like has been pointed out, parts of the match are scripted, but a lot of it is done on the fly.

Ask any wrestler who has take handfuls of painkillers daily how fake his profession is. They're on the road about 300 days a year with no off-season. Their bodies are completely broken from the toll they put on them.

Ever since the boom from being on SPIKE TV the sport has been saturated.

Instead of stacked cards every 3 months like back in the day, they over price lacksluster ppv events monthly. Most with no title fight.

For one UFC isn't like Wrestling. UFC is real fighting. Wrestling is fake. Even I'm HUGE WRESTLING FAN. UFC doesn't have much popularity like WWE wrestling cause they sell more units than UFC in my opinion anyway. Plus WWE is older and have more larger fan base than UFC.
