First Vanquish Gameplay Trailer : Some interesting facts

Gamersmint : The first Vanquish Gameplay trailer is out and it’s rather exciting. The trailer, though a bit short, reveals much of the intense action that awaits gamers. The trailer opens up with a cheesy military speech given to fellow American soldiers before an all out assault on a Space Station captured by Russians takes place (yet again?).

I have no idea what you are talking about, the controls in Bayonetta are superb. I think alot of people missed out on Bayonetta but for me its one of the best games this gen, and if you like action packed hack and slash gameplay theres nothing better.

On topic: I'm surprised, when I first heard of Vanquish I wasn't expecting much, other than just another mediocore sci-fi shooter, but for now it looks pretty damm good, intense fast pace action....I pray the gameplay lives up to this trailer.

brrrr horrid experience that was ... nevertheless they (Platinum Games) are doing vice versa this time around; developed on pS3 first then on 360. As for his comments about the controls ... there's a lot going on in the video ... which probably means that every button will be used (xbox360/ps3) .... so it will be interesting to see how it gets incorporated into the gameplay.

The controls in Bayonetta were fine... the game just sucked. It's like they thought of the controls and combos first and the game second. I would have rather had a new DMC.

people just want to believe that Bayonetta was COMPLETELY different on one system vs. the other when the truth is they are the exact same.

True the Ps3 version had minor slowdown and loading issues (that were later fixed by the way)the minor issues it had didnt mean that it was a horrible game or unplayable.

I found it funny that the media needed to take SO many points away from the Ps3 version but didnt feel the need to do so with the 360 version of Dragon Age Origins and FF13.

I get so tired of people saying the 360 version was so great when it was slightly clearer and slightly brighter. Big deal.
And to be fair the Ps3 version of bayonetta had nothing to do with platinum games it was done directly by Sega.
Regardless it was an awesome game.

bayonetta on the ps3 is playable but you would be kidding if you say that the game was the same as the xbox360 version.I could care less about slowdown,less textures and loading time (the loading time issue isn't anymore after the patch) about frame rates? 60 frames vs 30 frames is a lot of difference.even when the game struggles it's 45 fps vs 25 or 20 fps.I could mention a simple example here.we all know tekken and we all know that it runs at 60 fps.now imagine the other console had the same game with 30 fps,you think people won't notice the difference or say that it won't affect gameplay? we still are going to play but we all know that the other tekken is a lot better than the one with the 30 fps.instead of getting tired of hearing this or taking about fanboyism,maybe you people should accept the reality since it was already proven by a lot of comparison sites.and I also saw it with my own eyes since I already have the game on ps3 and I saw the xbox360 version.it's no wonder one got 8/10 while the other got 9/10.the difference is there!

If this is launched on the PC it will be a for sure purchase as it looks good so far.

lead console is PS3, Most likely a port to the 360, or maybe they'll just remake it from the ground up for the 360.

Games are developed and prototyped on PC. The final builds might not run on PC, but it's never a big jump to make, especially if it's already running on XBox.

Still, I doubt it will be on PC. But you never know.

I was really up for this following the previous 'live action' trailer, but that was just more of the same staggering grey-o-bland [with a bit of neon] that perpetuates so many games of late.

Hope it plays well, but that trailer suggests as generic as they come.

@Jokes: Sure way the game rocked.I too had lots of fun playing the game.Just that i couldnt handle the controls much,felt awkard at first.Also the so many loading times on PS3 made me tear my hairs!I have no grudge against the game,what i am just stating is that Platinum Games,who are developing Vanquish, dont repeat their mistakes from their previous iteration Bayonetta.In any case the director is legendary Shinji Mikami Sir,so chances of anything going wrong is much much low.

bayonetta's controls sh!t on any other 3rd person action game released this gen. with all her branching moves, wicked weave attacks, and multitude of awesome weapons (lightsaber!!!!!!!)and being able to cancel any move with a dodge even in the air, if you didn't like it, you either hate the genre, or didn't take the time to learn it. play on infinite climax mode, you'll learn real quick

Indeed. Russian baddies is soooo nineties. Chinese is the new Russian! On a bit more serious note, this game looks pretty but I don't think it's my cup of tea. I prefer western made games generally. To clarify to the hordes who misguidedly will call me racist I just don't much like the eastern story telling compared to the western. Apples and oranges and all that.

that trailer was great, and the action was so fast anyone who played shinji mikami games like god hand and PN 03 RE4 his games are challenging and i like games that give you real challenge. this game is day one buy for me we need to support new ip this gen and take break on sequls.

well if that's the case i am a real newbie in hack-n-slash genre here.In any case point of discussion is Vanquish and we hope Vanquish revolutionizes FPS genre with it's rapid fast shooting (like Bayonetta did with Hack-N-Slash?).
