Another iPhone Security Hole?

We already mentioned the potential Safari dialer exploit that could jeopardize iPhone security. Now another team of researchers has found what it says is a major security hole for anyone using Yahoo! e-mail.

The flaw relates to the way the stupendaphone grabs e-mail from Yahoo! and the way Yahoo! does (or doesn't) secure the transaction. Upshot is that if you're checking Yahoo! Mail over a public WiFi connection, anyone could conceivably tap in to the exchange, grab your sign-in data and have full access to your account.

the problem is not related to iPhone specifically but to Yahoo which doesn't encrypt transmission.
