The Game is Awesome, it Really Deserve more Sales...
Edit:
Disagree all you Want, the Game is Awesome, nobody can't change that and it's a shame that gamers didn't went to bought it while a Broken Game like MW2 sold sh*tloads cos it's a Freaking Shøøŧer...
the game is awesome and I love every single bit of it! Platinumed it as well! at last it sells 1mil (although estimation) but still good numbers! I would love to see more game in the series in the near future! I've never got tired with R&C!
but seriously people need to look and buy more of these awesome games over overhyped CRAP like MW2! come on! - buying glitchy buggy messy games over pure quality ones, no wonder not that many devs wanna push the boundaries anymore! just slap a well known name on the box and put some generic MP, and then sees your game sales a buck load! that's why even a douchebag that know nothing about gaming is on top of gaming business this day! he's milking and rehashing games but people just keep buying! a sad sad situation we are in today!
@Alpha-Male22: It's amazing how people shell out really bad jokes and then pass the buck to "target audience" who just simply do what they should. Don't like it.
The game is a good game, but it probably would have sold a lot more if it didn't have so much competition from other PS3 exclusives like Uncharted and Demon's Soul
ACiT was overshadowed by the biggest games last year. UC2, MW2 and AC2. This trend has not stopped with exclusives and multiplats being released every week so far this year.
ACiT is a brilliant, pure fun game. Highly recommended for anyone that enjoys platforming. 1m is ok, but it deserves (it will) to do better.
i've loved this series from the very first one and they're all great, with Deadlock being ok. but come on people support variety for god sakes. its always FPS, FPS, FPS.
All of the R&C games are very creative, and fun as hell, just wish they would sell more. ACIT was a blast, and was my second platinum. Hope it does hit 3mil.
Yes it really is, not too many people realize how much a Platformer/shooter of R&C's caliber is needed in the industry. And the sales are good but the title/devs deserve better commercially. The game was creativity at it's best.
And serious question, does anyone else thing that TOD graphics were a little better? Just asking cause it's been naggin at me. Still, both are great games and I love the whole franchise, but when I go play TOD and then pop in ACIT, it seems TOD has a little more "umph" to the color palette.
As for ACiT sales, people can't really blame the PS3. Insomniac are the ones who make the game and if i'm honest the series has grown a little stale, especially for me,someone who is a big R&C fan and played every R&C game.
There was no online multiplayer, and they didn't add enough new things to set it apart from previous R&C games. Hopefully they take their time and bring out a truely great R&C game.
dang, this games deserves waaaay more than that. It's easily one of the best games i've ever played and my personal goty last year. It's just so much fun and there's so much variety in it. I love what insomniac did with exploring the different galaxies in the spaceship.
First-month performance for the entire Ratchet & Clank series, provided by the NPD Group, is as follows:
Ratchet & Clank (November 4, 2002) -- 112,000 units Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando (November 11, 2003) -- 125,000 units Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal (November 3, 2004) -- 207, 500 units Ratchet: Deadlocked (October 25, 2005) -- 55,300 units Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction (October 30, 2007, though released in most retailers early) -- 74,500 units
In a sane world it should have sold five million by now. What get me irritated is that the same people who gave the game lower scores for being ‘the same game‘ are the same people who hand out perfect scores to Mario and Zelda every year even though the game plays exactly the same everytime. In my opinion Sony's characters have more heart, personality and substance then the one dimensional Nintendo characters who either don't talk or say the same sentence or pharse over and over again. Insomniac I apologize for my fellow gamers who didn't buy your epic game. They don't know what they are missing
Easily one of my favorite games to come out in a long time. I spent so much time on this just playing it over and over again, not even to get any trophies, just to play it because it was/still much fun. Very enjoyable game, more people should of bought this game.
I loved A crack in time but I honestly much preferred Tools of destruction I have to say. I only played either very recently after picking up TOD for next to nothing as something cheap to pass a little time with, loving it and buying ACIT a few days later.
I found TOD to be better paced in that you were never doing one thing for too long. I found it's linear levels in which the designers control the pace more fun than the little mini open area battle areas in ACIT in which you pretty much just rocket boot around randomly killing the closest enemy until the next area opens up.
Don't get me wrong, I did love it. The time puzzles were some of the coolest things ever, I just think they could have cut down on some of the mini Pixar does modern warfare parts.
Great game, deserves the sales
Nice Work Insomniac, NOW PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE show R3
Great game should have hit that along time ago games like this deserve to sell 3mil+ not COD's
Thanks for keeping the platformer going whilst Mario slept, Insomniac.
