on COD4's official website they said that they are shooting for 3 million beta testers. They wanted to do the same on the PS3, but the install base is not large enough for the 3 million testers.

MS made it sound like they signed a deal for an exclusive beta when it was the dev's decision.

Yes, you are correct - the TRAILER submitted here is on the PS3, the E3 DEMO was on the Xbox360, I have the DEMO footage downloaded from XBL in HD - you should see THAT; it was also broadcast live from G4 on tv. Sorry peeps, I would rather have this game than KILLZONE or HALO 3.

All the Industry people were going nuts about how the demo looked @ the M$ conference. And yes, seriously, it's going to look great on both systems. Can't wait for the fanboys to troll the screenshot comparisons ! (what a joke)

Guerrilla seems to be going for hyper-realism, or rather their own version of reality. (think of what Pixar does) Infinity Ward on the other hand is recreating reality, which is basically required by the subject matter. I just got Call of Duty 2 for my PC, and even though it looks like a PS2 title (my hardware doesn’t support DX9!! Augh) the gameplay is awesome.

From this video it looks like they've managed to get a decent framerate.

They used the version the felt most comfortable with to use it as their primary show case thats what i get from it if we don't know there was a PS3 version thats because we do not have PS3's.

I some how missed the large PS3 showing of the PS3 version of COD4 being announced to the world on an equal scale as they did for the 360 durring the G4 E3 coverage not to mentioned interviewers asked often what it was running on and some were suprized it was running on a 360 and said how did they do it(so smooth, fast, visually stunning, so much going on at once) and the devs answered we've been working on the 360 more than most devs so we know the hardware better.

Call of Duty 4 Looks better as of right now. But remember, Call Of Duty is out in November, Killzone 2 comes out sometime next year. Im sure when Killzone 2 is released, it will look far far FAR more superior than this game. Im sure the dev was 100% true when he said that the game was in Pre Alpha Alpha stage. Once they add all of the textures and effects and optimize it, that game will be the most technically impressive game ever released.

man i love how all these comparisons of how games look better than killzone 2, i mean whats next crysis vs. killzone 2, i would love to agree that all these games look better than killzone 2, but there is only one problem, and that is, if all these games look better than killzone 2, then why do people still think both realtime killzone 2 engines are yet CGI? i have never heard anyone say anything about any of these other games like,"oh my God, that cant be what were playing" and "that has to be CGI", so until i hear that about any of these other titles, nothing looks better than killzone 2, unless your comparing your cg openings to killzone 2, thats the only competition for killzone, the only honest game that i can see that compares to killzone, is a game that i see as superior to any, and comes close to killzone in some ways, and thats a game that is rarely talked about, and thats Cell Factor, and then theres one more Project Force, those two are the only ones in killzone 2s league in the real world, other than the other ps3 games, i would say crysis, but there are some serious factors reguarding the hault on that ranking, either way, killzone 2 is king, say Glitches of Ware looks better all you will, but i just downloaded a 720p glitches of ware demo video on my 180 on my high quality resolution tv, and neither the cg opening, nor the realtime gameplay beats killzone 2 in the least bit, killzone 2 looks like a movie ingame, in the opening realtime movie, and the realtime gameplay, so im lovin these comparisons, keep um cominq
