Capcom this week projected fiscal 2010 unit sales for major upcoming releases -- all big sequels with plenty of hit potential.
During the fiscal year ending March 31, 2011, the Osaka, Japan-based publisher said that it expects the PSP game Monster Hunter Freedom 3 to sell 3.6 million units. It's the highest unit sales estimate listed by Capcom in its latest financial report, despite the fact it will be released only in Japan, late in the year.
Capcom expects the Blue Castle Games-developed Dead Rising 2, the sequel to the internally-developed 2006 Xbox 360 exclusive Dead Rising, to sell 3 million units. The game is slated for an Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 release in late September/early October this year in Japan, U.S. and Europe.
Capcom Spotlight is just around the corner: tune in to see the latest titles being shown off by the Japanese masters.
New IP, please. Used to be (in the 80s) if it was a Capcom game, you knew it was good.

One of the highlights of FanimeCon 2025 was the Capcom cosplay gathering.
Capcom has removed GFWL from PC versions of Lost Planet 1 and 2 as well as other titles on Steam alongside support for online features.
mvc3 should be expected to go higher
2.2M for Lost Planet 2? I bet they didn't see those reviews, when they made that forecast.
3M for Dead Rising 2? 1-2M Sure, but 3M? I don't think so.
The 2 figures above, make it more like wishful thinking.
But their forecast for MVC3 at 2M, is low IMO.
