A lot can happen in 10 years, game time that is. The planet E.D.N. III has thawed and revealed to the two warring human factions a host of Earth–like environments (lush forest, sparse desert etc). The battle on these new areas is still for the precious Thermal Energy, and the damn fiddly alien race, the Akrid, are also still knocking about doing a very good job of making things tricky for you.

The load times in retrospect are unbearable but I did have hella fun playing couch co-op with my gf on the PS3 and PS2.
