Fear 3 boxart Revealed

F.E.A.R 3, a game for the Playstation 3, the Xbox 360 and Microsoft Windows. Its developed by Day 1 Studios; the guys behind the first FEAR game and, the rather lacklustre, Fracture. The game see’s the player control two of Alma’s children, each one having their own abilities meaning an interesting and different experience depending on the character you’re controlling. No release date yet, just the mysterious “Q3”. So here is the boxart;

apart from the F3AR logo....it looks very generic....why not have them face to face seeing as how they are brothers....would be much more compelling...plus you could bring a lot more emotion to their faces as both are staring each other down

I really don't pay much attention to the box art on games. What comes inside is what I pay attention to the most.

however i was somewhat dissapointed with the gow3 boxart, but it didnt stop me from enjoying the game. think people concentrate too much on the actual boxart, should be more focused on the game inside.

The only reason boxart gets so much attention is because a ton of sales are banked on people walking into a store and picking it up based on a cool looking picture. Jaffe was blogging yesterday about how Heavy Rain probably lost a bunch of potential sales due to a poor boxart and he said the same thing about Twisted Metal: Black as it was just a character's face and didn't show what the game was about (cars and guns).

For some reason, Fear 2 failed to capture the magic of the original. I hope they pull things up to first game's standard. F.E.A.R. was ahead of its time when it initially released, and it would be great to see if Monolith can deliver a similar experience introducing something completely new to the formula.

But to stay on topic, this box art looks simply terrible. Especially when you look at the art of the original.

I have FEAR 2 and I have not beaten it, it was not what I wanted from the series.

But at least that cover looks better than this. They should have just used Alma, not the guys. Looks a bit cluttered and cheesy.

This game is being done by the guys who ported FEAR to the consoles... The last game they did was Fracture, and we all know how great that game was...

For Monolith to pass up on FEAR...it makes you wonder what they're actually making next. I for one, like most Monolith games. But in most of their series they do tend to make 2 games if not that, looking forward to what they come out with next!

i was a big fan of FEAR the second 1 was kinda strange thanks to the help of WB Games but i must play not that much horror games coming out besides Dead Space2 great game btw. but i will play F.3.A.R how clever its suppose to be an E but is a three and it also looks like a backwords E. hahaha.... ima dambass. lol

To me it has looks like something that a person who was messing with photoshop would try, and then probably realise doesn't work. The cover just looks wrong, although that could be the point, considering it is Fear.

Meh, it looks alright I suppose. I'll definitely play this for sure though. I've played all the F.E.A.R. games and I enjoyed them a lot. The enemy A.I. was really well done and the intensity of the firefights was amazing.

Fist of all, the art is really kinda lame.
Second, Day 1 Studios had nothing to do with the first F.E.A.R. It's the Monolith studios who are responsible for the two original games. Day 1 has had something to do with the not-quite-excellent expansions.
In a nutshell, the game will most probably suck.
