Gaming Age: 3D Dot Game Heroes Review

Gaming Age writes: "3D Dot Game Heroes marks the arrival of another From Software title that's going to be exclusive to PS3 owners in the West, and it's a damn good exclusive to get if you care about those sorts of things. Coming in at $39.99, it might seem like a cheap knock off budget title if you've not been keeping up with things, but there's a surprising amount of optional content that'll keep you running past the six dungeons Game Heroes has you exploring throughout the main quest. It also helps that it cribs the majority of it's influence from popular 8 and 16-bit versions of the Zelda series and even Dragon Quest, but at the same time that high regard for classic games might make some of the references a little too obscure for more recent gamers to enjoy. Either way, it's a great playing game, and I had a lot of fun with it."

It seems like it. Hopefully people don't throw the "niche" line. If so they will be stating Dragon Quest, Final Fantasy, and Zelda A Link to the Past are Niche games.
