Kotaku: Turns out that those six pieces of character art that Capcom provided to sites for Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 show how the characters will look in the game when rendered on Capcom's in-house graphics engine MT Framework, the developer says.
morrigan and iron man look awesome, but the rest are pretty meh imo...
Hmmm... well, Capcom has yet to disappoint me graphically on their games this Gen, so I'll take their word for it.
They're refering to the images.
Was hoping to see some REAL in-game shots lol just art work. If you never seen wolverine before and the hulk is the only reason to click that link lol.
lol they are telling you IT IS ingame not illustrations . it's easier to see with iron man http://www.eventhubs.com/im...
those look great but i seriously hope their not docking the roster to make each individual prettier. MvC2 superceded MvC extremely in character count, and MvC3 should do the same for its ancestor.
I just hope that they don't pull a SF4& RE5 by having "dlc" already on a disk. other than that, can't wait for this game.
... the in game cinemas are gonna rock! So much for hoping for a high-res 2D sequel...
and while it looks cool one of the reasons i will always love blazblue is because its HD 2d. thank god for that. Tsunoku vs cap played stiff cuz it was 3d but w/e this shud still b fun
OMG what console do you play on? i've been saying how gorgeous blazeblue is in HD for almost a year, i hate how SFIV overshadowed it as fighter of the year. the roster was small but the only person you hear complaining about that are the ones who arent too good or are simply not considering how deep and varying each character is. 12 Vangaurds are better than 24, 30+ mediocre fighters. And i mean those sprites!! like, thank you jesus! also the backgrounds, the music (especially the one that plays in the cathedral, it opens in heavy orchaestra, its either noel or jins theme) and the story are all fantastic. are you much excited about Contiuum Shift??
there was noway it would be 2d anyway . Capcom wasnt lying when they stated , or rather said , that SF3 and SF2hd would be as far as 2d fighting animation would go , for obvious cost reasons . And so far everything proves them right . Blazblue and its sequels are downright awesome , but with sprites that are easily far less detailled , and not as well animated (they compensate less detailled animations and skipped frames , with excellent and stylish poses and exagerations) , even if hd . They also got the help of 3d backgrounds (but then again it was present in MVC2 too) So far the closest thing to sf3 level animation would be the fully hand drawns Kof XII and XIII (yet some animation pre-work done with 3d) . And look at the toll on them ... they painfully and slowly arrives at a decent and kof-like number of characters . At the rate they go , to finally get the entire usual kof roster , and if they aint dead by then , we'll be waiting for kof XV . Extremely stylised 3d (be it cartoon style like sf4 , anime styled , or in this instance comics ) is the de facto way to go , especially with characters featuring lots of extremly stylised and exagerated effects and animations (just dare and try a venom vs mister fantastic with gorgeous and extremely detailed hd 2d) , or else you have to compromise stuff (like details and animation) @Booni3 Only a fool wouldnt be waiting . the arcade version is aledy excellent enough .
I think it'll be SF4 gfx but with Marvel heroes. To be honest they could just release this game as dlc on the original SF4 and charge a bit more for it.
Sigh ...It obviously isnt , looking at the teaser and renders . Plus the simple fact that its not even the same engine as sf4 , its one of the first things we learned about the original sf4 ... the art style itself, the shaders arent even close .
Plz put Mega Man on there
if that is how the characters are going to look like then i guess i wont be buying....they look brutal...why would they change the art style? i love the 2D cartoony look and style. i cant believe marvel is allow this type of style
You mean how can marvel let their comics characters be less flashy and more comics styled ? how dare they!!
