this stuff is mad boring. now they are making excercise games. they really are milking the casual game market dry. Really impressed with the wii zapper and galaxy was hands down the best looking game.

Maybe it's not a fad. Maybe everyone wants to play games that look like last gen provided they can wave their arms around and sweat. Ugh.

Is it just me or does this press conference remind you of sony last year.
Its a big Nintendo Sells Like Crack party. If they show one more montage of people praising the Wii/DS I am gonna die.

wow nothing was good, only mario kart and mario was ok, but everything else is boring, where are all the good games, the in-depth and challenging games??? nintendo games are to easy to me, and most hardcore gamers, well atleast the ones i know. and none of their games are serious, its all Mii, and boring crap.

the press confrence bored me to death, even the crowd was bored except for the mario online thing. not bashin but seriously, this year looks boring for nintendo, just as i thought nintendo wont ever get serious

Interesting to note that most of the above comments are looking for specific and outstanding announcements from Nintendo, else the above users complain about boredom. Very mature, very mature indeed.

Anyway, apart from the adolescent complaining above, it was nice to hear that more online functionality is on its way to the Wii, especially with Mario Kart and Guitar Hero III, as well as 32 player multiplayer announced for Medal of Honor.

I also found it nice to hear that the Wii Zapper is already being integrated into upcoming games like Medal of Honor, Ghost Squad, and Resident Evil: UC.

WiiFit will be another interesting game considering that it sounded like Nintendo is going to be releasing a new "Power Pad" type peripheral.

Smash Brothers Brawl will launch in the US on December 3rd. Nice!

On Super Mario Galaxy, the comment of, "...is the first worthy successor to Super Mario 64..." has got me very excited! I'll be ready for it November 12th, hopefully that release date sticks.

Maybe the conference wasn't as exciting as some people may have liked but not everything is here for one's immediate gratification. They stated the facts and presented their future plans and that was it. That's what a real conference is for you young and inexperienced folk. I'm still wondering what the BIG hardware news is going to be, unless they forgot about it...

My post holds its own. My arguments made above merely suggest that the above comments are not well thought out and immature, to say the least. But that's my opinion and personally I feel that most of the comments made here are inadequate and adolescent and to say that I'm as "...boring as nintendo..." makes your comment one of them.

Again, my above comment holds and your attacks have no merit against them other than being only your personal opinion.

You have been an anti-Nintendo troll for quite some time now, so no one is surprised by your reaction. And if you had actually read the conference script, you would know that the pad used for WiiFit is much more than just another way to hold the controller.

Nintendo has been a success without making "serious" games, so why would you expect that to change?

Yet again Nintendo has a ton of first party games with their great franchises (Mario Galaxy & Kart, Smash Bros Brawl, Metroid).

But where's the third party support? This exercise pad thing? WTF?

Well, the conference specifically makes references to RE: UC, Ghost Squad, Medal of Honor, Soul Calibur Legends, WWE Smash Down Vs. Raw, Ninja Gaiden(?), Dragon Quest, Mario and Sonic at the Olympics (developed by Sega), Madden, Fifa, High School Musical, and Rayman Raving Rabbids Two.

There are many more not mentioned.

Here I thought MS's conference was a let down. Man...Nintendo really did nothing this show. I mean I have absolutely ZERO feeling of excitment after that. This E3 is now Sony's to win. I think they pretty much have that locked up based on Killzone 2 showing so well last night. Only problem I see for Sony is showing stuff for 2007...everything so far is 2008 and they need to get people excited for 2007 too. MS easily is #2 based on their showing and Nintendo...damn...they looked just down right boring and weak in comparison.

that's cause they had a theme this E3, it was show what their having in the next 6 months and that's all. That was stupid because they have many exciting games and features for 2008, like alan wake and IPTV. Also holding off to X07 for a price cut announcement is a little disappointing.

So I sympathies.

Wii Fit has some seriously stupid / useless things about it as well as some incredible and awesome features. I dont need a game do to my daily exercises but at the same tome some those games seem nice. My biggest problem with WiiFit is that its so far the most not-game and casual product for Wii.

Wow, I think I just might go ahead and pick up a Wii! I work out daily and see WiiFit as pure gold! Also Wiifit is going to take us in the Virtual direction for FPS games! Normally I'm anti Nintendo but Reggie did a really good job vocally and made some good points during the end of his speech! You see Sony is always about me me me but Nintendo seems to be looking at the bigger picture and thats where the industry will one day be! Also the games on Wii don't look amazing but we all know there fun and if you were bored you just didn't get the bigger picture! We need new leadership and I'm happy with what MS has been doing and what Nintendo is doing to lure in more people and truly expand the market rather than bluray! Now I await Sony's show and really hope they don't come out and be a bunch of jack azzes!

"32 player multiplayer announced for Medal of Honor." That's pretty good for them. Plus a bunch of other online games coming out. The zapper thing sounds intresting and even though WiiFit seems a bit like a dud I'm sure they'll be using that board thingy for a few other titles out there

Personally, I think WiiFit is going to do pretty well. One needs to remember that the Nintendo demographic includes a great variety of gamers AND converted non-gamers.

"Hardcore" gamers and the standard gamer will no doubt not look at WiiFit as something "cool" and most will probably say it's a "dud" like you have but the new and wider demographic that Nintendo has gained is the audience that this game is marketed to.

I'd probably be considered a "standard" gamer and have been with Nintendo since its inception. I for one will check it out and definately get my kids into it.

Yea I'm sure Wiifit will sell but I'll be more interested in what else they do with that pad cuz it sounded pretty cool.

So far the FPS's for Wii are just alright. RE4 is a 3rd person game but was done very well. I do think that upcoming games will showcase a tighter control method. As well the zapper should help out seeing that it will use both the Wii Remote and Numchuck.

better then the ms conference at least they showed 1st party stuff not gta, assassins creed and cod4 which all will come on the ps3 as well i found the conference good but to be honest im just watching the announcement highlights on game trailers so i didn't watch all of it so i missed maybe the boring bits but god damn was peter moore so boring
