Microsoft tries to attract students to computer gaming careers

Students from all majors are invited to put their gaming skills to the test and compete for prizes, including Zune digital entertainment systems and an XBox 360, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, April 15, in the atrium of the Donald W. Reynolds Business Center.

XBox 360 competitions start at 9:44 a.m., 11 a.m., and 12:30 p.m. Open play will continue until 3 p.m. Dr. Bradley Jensen, senior academic relations manager for Microsoft, will invite students to participate in an interactive discussion on technology trends and misconceptions, and will give away prizes ranging from XBox 360 games, PC games, T-shirts, pens, balls and other swag.
