The Settlers has been a PC–based franchise for nearly as long as the PC has been around – and the seventh chapter shows no sign of this timeless series doing anything but accelerating forward at a rapid rate. This is a strategy title that requires huge amounts of patience but rewards the player with cavernous gameplay depth. But as with all things sophisticated – it’s far from child’s play.
