Relic has released a large update for its strategy title Dawn of War II: Chaos Rising, now available for download.
"This week when I was scrolling through my Steam library for a game to play I was stumped, until I found a mod which brought fresh air to an old classic. The game was the legendary Dawn of War series by Relic. The Dawn of War expansions; Winter Assault, Dark Crusade and Soulstorm along with other stand-alone titles like Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine, give the universe the justice it rightly deserved."
The Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War franchise is free to play this weekend and to celebrate Relic have added some new content. From September 24 10AM PDT through to September 27 1PM PDT, Dawn of War I and II, plus all expansions, are free to play on Steam.
Gamecrastinate- With the impending shutdown looming over the games previously covered by Microsoft’s Games for Windows Live service, Relic and SEGA have just announced that steps are being taken to preserve the functionality of online play for the entire Dawn of War series. The original Dawn of War was also patched earlier in the week to replace the online functionality that it also lost due to the Gamespy service closure.
Shame I did not get all the achievements it was fun but wont bother paying it now.
yes!!! that nightmare was annoying having to install this especially when a GFWL game on steam =p
