Ironically Tell Tale was founded to give franchises like Sam and Max a second chance after LucasArts cancelled it. Now they've also gotten to big to want to touch the franchise.

Singularity, Bulletstorm and Snatcher come to mind. People Can Fly are rumored to be working on a Bulletstorm sequel though which makes me very happy :3
