Gameolio: Morrowind resurrected!

Captain NoBeard, from Gameolio, writes:

"I have decided to advertise an impressive article by a sister blog that is, in my opinion, probably one of the most ambitious undertakings to resurrect and improve on a classic RPG game. I wish I had the know how to do this, I loved Morrowind. I tried to use a simple level mod on Crysis the other day and after 2 hours of tying to figure it out I still couldn't get it to work.

I played that game a full year. Every expansion and just about every sub-quest. There have, to this day, not been an RPG made that was as detailed and free roaming as Morrowind. I a wait a true sequel. But, I am also loosing hope (Too expensive).

I just recently decided to go through Morrowind again and got all the latest graphics and gameplay mods available for it. This game is absolutely timeless, and one of the best RPGs ever made. And *spoilers finally meeting with Dagoth Ur at the end of the game after playing for hundreds of hours was worth every minute.
What an experience.

Oddly enough Morrowind also entered the rotation as part of my break. What a difference a few mods make.

The magic system in Morrowind is far better than the one in Oblivion. Nothing beats highly enchanted boots of jumping, letting you jump over small mountains...
