Wiikly WiiWare Wiiview: Diner Dash, WarioWare: D.I.Y. Showcase, and Grill-Off With Ultra Hand!

From the review:

"If you have been following casual gaming over the last few years, you are probably already familiar with the Diner Dash franchise. If not, then you have managed to miss out on one of the most popular casual PC titles in recent history. Although waiting tables in a diner doesn't sound terribly interesting, it is a fast-paced and fun-filled concept that has met much success in most of its incarnations. For the unacquainted, I highly suggest seeking out a free demo online; starting out with this WiiWare Diner Dash is not a particularly good idea. In fact, it may not really be a good idea for established fans either."

Well, the DS version is worth checking out because it's the play-as-you-go style of gaming that works a lot better on a handheld. And most importantly, it allows you to create your own minigames, which is the main draw. The WiiWare version is basically just a slight extension and it might be good to have if you own the DS version. Otherwise, it's a pass.

However, it’s been quiet on the WarioWare front for the better part of a decade now with the last ‘main’ game in the series released when the Wii launch in 2006 leading to the series becoming just one among many of seemingly forgotten Nintendo franchises and leads me to ask… what happened to WarioWare?"
