Perfect Dark is an all-time classic. In 2000, before Rare took its place at Microsoft's teat, it was exclusive to Nintendo - and back then, it felt like it was the only company giving the beleaguered N64 a reason to exist.
1997's GoldenEye sold eight million copies, and any Top 100 games list is empty without Bond's epic adventure somewhere in the top half. Three years later, Perfect Dark - the spiritual sequel - met with equal acclaim. While the sales reached just 2.5 million, it was embraced as a flawless gem.
