PS Blog: The next system software update for the PlayStation 3 (PS3) system will be released on April 1, 2010 (JST), and will disable the "Install Other OS" feature that was available on the PS3 systems prior to the current slimmer models, launched in September 2009. This feature enabled users to install an operating system, but due to security concerns, Sony Computer Entertainment will remove the functionality through the 3.21 system software update.
In addition, disabling the "Other OS" feature will help ensure that PS3 owners will continue to have access to the broad range of gaming and entertainment content from SCE and its content partners on a more secure system.
BLG writes, "Some of the most popular games have had a rough start, with some of them being downright unplayable.
Despite that, developers have managed to turn it around for them and make their game worth playing. Here are some games that had a rough start but were pretty great."
Sea of Thieves... I'm not disagreeing that the game has improved in terms of content. But I feel that the most significant change between now and its release is actually the public perception. Nowadays, most people are aware that the game is a multiplayer PvP-focused experience first and foremost, and not "Black Flag made by Rare". Consequently, people dismissing the whole experience because the single-player aspect is lacking or the story is plain are much less common.

They aren't going to give more. We are talking about a company that has rereleased an 13 year old game at least 5 times.
Things are heating up in May a bit with Senua's Saga: Hellblade II, the Paper Mario TTYD remake, and a ton of promising indies. We pick the most interesting May games, from AAA to indie, so you can make sense of everything coming out.
Doesn't seem to be that bad of a month. Got a bit of something for everyone.
Please do not support braid anniversary edition. Don't support Phil phish, he's a very despicable person, a a cry baby.

C'mon Sony.:/ its been a while since a good one came out.
Screw that! I paid for that feature($400 dollars) when I bought the console I am not giving it up!
Looks like I'm done with PSN after April 1 if it's mandatory.. If my 40gig phatty even makes it that long.
Not a fan of these console manufacturers taking away features and it doesn't look like they are adding anything new with this update.
Lame Sony!
@below: I paid for great games and BR as well(no back compat here) but so what I also paid for the ability to install Linux.. And now what? I'm going to be left with an unusable partition on my PS3 and now have to reformat the thing?? All that work for me yuppie! Can Sony do no wrong in your eyes?
Could this be an April fool's joke? I really hope so, because a lot of people are going to be pissed, although I think this is to counter that hacker who just cracked the ps3.
Plus did they even release 3.20?
i guess this really means that the hack is really legit?
wow here i was hoping that we were going to add more feature instead of take away features.
April 1st? Does sound like perhaps an April fools joke, the great thing about the PS3 is its functionality and Sony have since removed a few things here and there now they are onto removing features that are software based which is a shame. Here's hopings its an April fools and what Sony are really going to do is add some cool new features instead.
I have noticed that my Slim PS3 doesn't seem to have a slot where I can upgrade my hard drive unless I am not looking in the right place?
