It Only Does Diverse Games

When the PS3 launched in late 2006, the console struggled to find a game that best described the platform. Sony made several promises in regards to the console and with a mediocre advertising campaign, struggled to maintain a foothold in the market.

Really glad the playstation has lived up to its promises, eventually. I'm loving my PS3 for the last few months. If Microsoft retalliate effectivley then gamers everywhere are gonna be swamped with great games this year.

This is probably THE MAINE THING that made me choose a PS3 over the 360. Diversity.

maybe Tekken 7 will be exclusive again? The sales of Tekken6 is heavily in favor of the ps3, and the additional hype and marketing push from Sony will do wonders for the series

They should buy snk/playmore and whats left of am2, give them a fat budget and see what pops out.

i love the ps3, and it's love that pc or xbox cant offer

uncharted2- best game ive ever played (and i play mostly all games for each platform)
lbp- most creative game that is out
GT5- (soon to be) the greatest racing sim ever
and etc...

its easy to see why the ps3 has gained such a foothold

Strong words. I wouldn't say Uncharted 2 is the best game this gen, but it's certainly in the top 5.
Metal Gear Solid 4 and Bioshock trump it, IMO.

kneon3129d ago

In my 30 or so years of gaming I've never played a better game than uncharted 2. It was just more fun than anything else, and for me that is the most important aspect of a game. I just couldn't stop playing it and still play it often. Though with all the other great games that have come out in the last 6 months it's not getting as much time as it should.

kanetheking3129d ago

bioshock got a very good story and atmosphere but the gameplay is boring.that the only thing bad about it yet it the biggest thing a game should have

Gradient3129d ago

I'd much rather have the option of playing games like MAG, White Knight Chronicles, Yakuza 3, Heavy Rain, GOW, Modnation Racers, etc. It's better than being stuck with shooter after shooter after shooter after shooter.

Go ahead, prove me wrong. Mass Effect 2, Splinter Cell, Crackdown 2, Alan Wake, and Halo Reach. Shooter after shooter after shooter after shooter after shooter.

"Go ahead, prove me wrong. Mass Effect 2, Splinter Cell, Crackdown 2, Alan Wake, and Halo Reach. Shooter after shooter after shooter after shooter after shooter."

No one has to "prove" you wrong and no one ever will. You can't
"prove" that PS3 exclusives are better than 360 exclusives, or vice versa.

And even if we did attempt to "prove" that one set of exclusives is better than the other, the way that makes the most sense is by a random poll taken in some random college campus or sumthin'. In this case, the Wii or 360 would win just by popularity alone. Do u see how u can't "prove' one is better than the other? Its preference.

Just because YOU don't like being bombarded by shooters doesn't mean other people feel the same way and judging from the fact that MW2 was the best selling/most played PS3 game of 2009, PS3 owners like shooters very much :)

He's got a point ya know lol

I remember when people would say " sony's lying when they said everything is going according to plan".

Where are they now?

oh yeah, they're waiting for exclusives every 9 months. LOL

Since 2007/08 Sony has only been getting better and better, every year and it seems to be getting harder for Sony to top the year before but they always seem to do it. Can't wait for E3 2010 to see what Sony has up it's sleeves.
