Gaming Needs More Artists

Every time gamers get into a discussion about whether gameplay is more important than storyline or whether games are art, the conclusion is usually reached that gaming in general still lacks something. People don't care very much about storylines in games because most of them aren't very good, and they question whether any game can be artistic because most don't try to be.

The source of the problem is the development, or rather the motivation that goes behind the development of most games and the people making them. Most game developers today are not storytellers by profession, they are primarily engineers and to a certain extent entertainers.

The story is too old to be commented.
