GamerZines: Not content with signing up some of Activision's best franchises from yesteryear another publisher is heading to Good Old Games, Atari.
"This is a great step forward for GOG.com and DRM-free digital distribution," revealed GOG.com's Marcin Iwinski at The CD Projekt Spring Conference. "This deal is really just the first step in what we expect will be a long and fruitful relationship. Atari has a tremendous number of cult classics within their grasp, and we hope to sign these in a near future!"
The first lot of Atari titles to be added to the service will include the cult third person action adventure Outcast, Master of Orion and Master of Magic with more to be announced throughout the year.
Digital Foundry : Outcast first launched in 1999 delivering state-of-the-art voxel-driven visuals in what was then a novel open-world design - but its sequel never landed... until now. In this special video, John Linneman tells the story of the original game, its technology and off-shoot projects before concentrating on Outcast: A New Beginning, which finally realises the original developer's vision for a full Outcast sequel.
