Nintendo's gaming guru on the recession, innovation and the Wii

Development legend says his ambition is to make games even more accessible.

Games, at the most basic level, are meant to be fun – and industry legend and head of Nintendo development Shigeru Miyamoto has admitted that the company's games output last year was simply not fun enough.

"The fact that in 2009 we were not able to sell more than we did in 2008 was simply that in comparison, we were not able to produce fun-enough products," he said.
