Game Console writes: "Rugby league is one of the roughest and most physically taxing team sports in existence. It's not a game for faint-hearted couch potatoes. Yet from the comfort of the sofa fans lacking in the brawn (and stamina) department can now play with the big guns. Yep, we're talking about Rugby League 3 for Nintendo Wii of course."
Guardian writes: "Powerful, fast and skilful, Rugby League is a fantastic sport to watch. This video game adaptation is less exciting to play, but is still worth a look for fans."
GP writes: "Having never played the previous two instalments in Sidhe Interactive's Rugby League series I'm not in a position to comment on how Rugby League 3 improves on its predecessors. So with that in mind I'm reviewing the game as if it's the first in the series – based on its own merits."
The Gamecube control setup allows the game to be played like any other game might - imagine your FIFAs or Maddens and you're looking at a similar experience. The game still has flaws but it's easier to overlook in light of a functional controller setup. Of course, most people who own a Wii will be restricted to the Waggle control combos - Wiimote and Nunchuk unbelievably being the worse of the two.
